Every day, all over the United States and every other part of the world, people die as victims of sudden accident or illness. Men, women, children, all ages in every walk of life.
Together, we can do something about that.

Don't do any of the things you're afraid this is going to say! lol

It's so simple! Learn First Aid and CPR!
It doesn't matter where you learn it.
It doesn't matter how you learn it!
It doesn't even matter WHEN you learned it!
(As long as you still know how to do it properly!)

Here is the Chain - You are the First Link

This is a picture of the "Chain of Survival". Hospital and surgical care is the Fourth and last link. When someone is suffering a heart attack, the Third link is defibrillation. The use of CPR until rescue services can arrive is the Second Link.

The FIRST LINK, the one that sets all the rest of health care in motion, is to recognize an emergency, call for rescue services, and perform first aid. Without this critical element, the Citizen Responder, all the rest of the chain cannot happen. You, your friends, family, coworkers, fellow students, and neighbors can fill this critical role simply by knowing the right thing to do.

Did you know that nearly 80% of the time, if and when someone uses First Aid training it is in the home? Learning First Aid and CPR could be the greatest gift you ever give to your family. People from 8 to 80 and beyond can learn First Aid. Are you ready? Are you willing to be a "First Link to Life"? If so, we'll give you an award! You can do it!

Learn the Skills! Save a Life! EVERYONE should know first aid. There's hundreds of places to learn. Most cost money, some do not. There's a link from this page if you want to learn First Aid and CPR for free, but there's lots of other places and ways to learn, it's up to you!

Our goal is pretty ambitious! This project, a grass roots effort, has set a goal of 200,000,000 people. That is 200 Million people worldwide.
